Support for requesting and displaying website thumbnails and FAQ!
1. How do I request and display full length screenshots on my website?
ThumbnailsMe.com premium members - add on for only $9.90 a month! Answer: To initiate the request use &page=length. Length is how far down the page in pixels you want to capture! For example, if you wanted to capture and display a full length website thumbnail of youtube.com like the thumbnail below :
|
For example: to display the website screenshot to the left you would use img src="http://ThumbnailsMe.com/ requestcode.php?url=http://youtube.com&s=425&full=2200". Image resizing is a little bit different than standard thumbnails, the image width and height adjusts automatically based on the length of the image.
Right click on the image to the left and click properties to see for yourself!

2. What images are displayed before thumbnails are captured?
3. What are the benefits of being a Premium or Premium Plus member?
Answer: Our paid service offers you to customize your own in queue and invalid images in place of the images that are displayed above for sites using our free service! We setup a dedicated account and folder for thumbnails just for your site! We are still adding more features in the members area. Once we setup your account, you can login and view how many hits your site has recieved, balance, previous invoices, reffering pages and hits from those pages, and pay your balance directly from the members area! Upload your own inqueue, invalid images and more! Premium Plus members have the ability to capture and display full length screenshots! You can actually choose how far down the page you want to capture if you don't want to capture the entire length of the webpage! Visit our features area for more details.
4. How long does it take for a thumbnail to be captured once in queue?
Answer: We've seen up to 16 thumbnails captured in 1 minute and as low as 3 in 1 minute! Capture time depends upon several factors such as load time, content, images, traffic to the site, etc. We try daily to tune the screenshot capture process to make it faster and more effecient!
5. I added the code but it still displays thumbnail in queue?
Answer: The page that you added thumbnails to must be refreshed after code is added to be placed in queue. Once captured they will display from then on!
6. How do I resize the thumbnail or cut the height?
Answer: You can resize any thumbnail from 10px up to 1023px by adding &s=300 at the end of your request, IE : http://ThumbnailsMe.com/thumb.php?url=http://msn.com&s=600&cut=400, &cut=400 for the creative people that realize the most visual part of a website is it's header.
7. Can borders / backgrounds be added using css / stylesheets?
Answer: You have full control over the background color, border color, placement on your page, and more!
8. I'm getting an image that says invalid url, why is that?
Answer: Check and make sure that the url is correct. Some urls don't get captured because they are requested as http:/www.msn.com, missing a backslash! or http://msn, somebody forgot to add .com! Double check the website address, if it is incorrect you will get the image invalid url! Also, if you have invalid urls on the page... it will slow down the speed in which thumbnails display at. This also helps with keeping dead or broken links off your website!
